Angela on the importance of detox & BioSanctuary

Nearly all productions leave byproduct. In many cases, this byproduct will actualize in our environment in the form of toxic chemicals that infiltrate the food we eat, the water we drink and the air that we breathe.

“If our bodies are toxic then we make toxic decisions.”

It is considered common scientific knowledge that what you eat can affect the environment within your stomach. For example, a glass of lemon water in the morning helps alkalize your body to promote better metabolism. I expound upon this idea because I believe that this basic understanding permeates to other parts of our bodies as well. Does the food we eat not nourish our minds? Does the air we breathe not filter through our lungs before it pumps through our hearts? If so, then why wouldn’t the quality of the food we eat and the air we breathe affect the performance of our bodies?

I simply believe that it does.

With this knowledge, it becomes apparent that the first step to achieving a healthy mind & body is a detoxification. A detox can be a daunting endeavour for someone who just isn’t quite ready to give up some of their favorite poisons. I recommend starting your first detox with a friend or significant other who will provide you with that emotional support when you start craving something you are trying to get past the hunger for.  If you have the time to dedicate to a retreat, and maybe this is the vacay you’ve been waiting for, a detox retreat can be a transformative journey to reconnect with your body in nature and wellness.

I realized that my dreams aligned with and shortly after I decided to host a retreat at my own little eco-sanctuary in Topanga, CA. I have partnered with BioSanctuary as well as Genita M. Mason H.H.P., N.C. Biochemist and Fractal Environmentalist and opened up my home for a 10 day retreat from October 10th - 20th. I am excited to host this retreat on my eco-estate as I believe it will be a beautiful purifying transformation for everyone who attends.
